On November 13, 2017, the Ambassador of Nepal to Russia paid an unofficial visit to the Shamil district of Dagestan.

On a trip to the Shamil district, the high guest was accompanied by a mountaineer and businessman, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Society for Cooperation and Friendship with Nepal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment Union Yevgeny Kozorezov, the head of the search and rescue unit of the Tsentrospas detachment EMERCOM of Russia Kurban Kurbanov, photographer, a member of the International Union of Photographers-Naturalists Ivan Kozorezov, as well as Everest conquerors of 2017, Kirill Lyulyaev and Rashid Hajiyasulov, who is the first dag Everest conquered Everest. The capital of Nepal, Kathmandu is the first starting point for climbing Mount Everest.

During the visit, the guest and the people who accompanied him visited the village of Khuchada, in the homeland of the first Dagestan – conqueror of Everest, and in the village of Goor, the home of rescuer alpinist Kurban Kurbanov. Ambassador of Nepal in the Russian Federation Mr. Rishiram Ghimire expressed his admiration for the beauty of mountainous Dagestan and the hospitality of the mountain people. A striking impression on a high foreign guest was made by a burka and a papakha, presented to him from the administration of the Shamil district.
