“Nepal and Dagestan have a lot in common, both geographically and ethnically. We are developing mountain tourism and we want to cooperate with you in this direction. In addition, Nepal is well trained by the specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. We have 105 ethnic groups and 125 languages. I know that there are many nationalities in Dagestan, and there is a ministry that deals with national issues. We had a very fruitful meeting with its leader. We hope to establish an exchange of experience in the field of interethnic relations. ”
In his turn, Vladimir Vasiliev thanked the guests for the visit and expressed hope for cooperation in the areas outlined.
“I am sure that there are many kind and interesting people in Nepal. Dagestan, too, this is different – the residents of the republic are very hospitable and friendly. Our countries are building relationships, we are watching this. For our part, we are determined to continue the cooperation that our colleagues are developing. Thank you to friends who have already discovered Nepal and help us understand it. We have a mutual interest, and we will work out possible options for cooperation in the field of tourism, culture and the exchange of international experience. Perhaps, in the process of joint work, new directions will appear. ”
As it was noted during the meeting, Dagestan and Nepal are united by the legendary Rasul Gamzatov, who visited this country and dedicated two poems to her. The Nepalese diaspora in Russia is working on the question of installing a monument to a poet in Nepal.
