Recently Nepal Fest 2018 was organized and celebrated in Moscow, Russia. The event was jointly organized by Embassy of Nepal, NRN Russia and Nepal Chamber of Commerce from 5 – 7 October 2018. In this three day event more and 15000 Russians attended were present.
On the occasion of 61 years of Nepal – Russia friendship, this event was organized with a purpose of exploring the products that can be exported to Russia from Nepal.
The event was inaugurated on 5 October 2018 by Rt. Honorable Mr. Rishi Ram Ghimire, Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Rameshwor Gautam, Chairman, NRN and Mr. Dil Sundar Shrestha, Chairman, Nepal Fest.
Nepalese participants were hugely helped by Mr. Dhananjaya Shrestha, President, IPC for their logistics and other activities during the event. In the event products ranging from handicrafts, garments, carpet, silver jwellery, pashmina, felt items were displayed. In total there were 20 stalls and 38 business people representing their products.
The event was a great B2B platform for businessmen from both the countries. To promote tourism in Nepal, different cultural shows and food items were organized during the event.
With the help of coordination of Mr. Dhananjaya Shresha, President, IPC Russian businessmen bought all the items which were not sold during the event. Bi lateral cooperation was thoroughly discussed between business people of both the countries. In the event Mrs. Sita Ghimire was also present as the representative from Nepal Fest 2018.
